Mara Hayes

Mara is a Korean-American social worker in her late 20s, born and raised in Northeast Philly. She and her husband Andre have been quietly building a life together — a small apartment in Spring Garden, a fourteen-month-old named Mason, a baby carrier or stroller always within reach. She is the careful half of the Hayes family.

She listens for a living. At work it’s families in crisis. At home it’s a husband she loves, a baby she’s still learning to know, and a city she’s quietly hoping will hold them.
