Andre Hayes
Andre is a Black American graphic designer in his early 30s, born and raised in Mt. Airy. He took the long way into the work — the late start, the side gigs, the corporate job he kept until he couldn’t anymore. A few years ago he landed at a small Philly studio that mostly works with first-time business owners. He’s been there ever since.
He’s not in it for the awards. He’s the kind of designer who wants the work to feel like the person it’s for — the mom opening a corner bakery, the friend launching a Saturday market, the cousin printing his first round of shirts. He believes in honest craft, in making things that hold up, and in the quiet power of a well-designed sign that tells you you’re in the right place.
No corporate badge. No glossy reel. No agency-of-the-year list. Just henleys, dark jeans, a denim jacket on cool days, and a gentle laugh that loosens whatever room he walks into.
His wife Mara is the careful one. He’s the talkative one. Their son Mason is fourteen months old and still learning how the world works. Every weekend they’re out looking for a home with room to grow into.
